Pictures from the funeral

The reception following his burial was a good chance for photos and for family to gather. As usual, Gail never missed a chance to introduce anyone and everyone to her family. It's one of Gail's things. So I was introduced to about 50 people whom I had never met and now cannot remember. I just recall a blur of shakes and polite "Nice to meet you" comments. But Kristie did point out the fact that I was the only one to get an occupation recognition when introduced: "This is Kurt. He's a teacher." As if being a teacher is the only worthy form of employment worth mentioning.

Here are some pictures from Allen's funeral. The pastor did an excellent job. Allen - always an inquisitive man - was preoccupied with what God might look like. So he asked everyone who visited - including the pastor - what he thought. Allen's own idea seemed to that God would look like electricity.
