More from Kenzie

Our little Kenzie keeps amazing us with her one liners and responses.  I've come to simply saying, "I don't know where she comes up with this stuff."

Since Kenzie is a rabid Scooby-Doo fan, she has taken to filling in anyone who will listen on all the drama surrounding the newest variation of the Scooby-Doo franchise (called Mystery Inc. on the Cartoon Network).  "Well, Fred and Daphne aren't together anymore.  She said she never wants to see him.  She instead is dating (insert the character's name - I have forgotten it) who is also the evil clown in the first episode.  So the gang asks Hot Dog Water (another character) to join the gang and take Daphne's place."

Then there are some of her great one lines.  A few days ago, as we were sitting up in Casey's new room (the loft above our garage), I asked Kenz what she wanted to be when she grew up (I admit that I was secretly hoping for the words "a teacher, like you Dad" to come out of her mouth).  Instead, without missing a beat, Kenz simply gave the best answer: "Batman!"

Then one morning as we were running around the house trying to get everything and everyone ready for the day, Kenz began rambling about how much she loves her family.  When Kenz gets rambling, the words fly out of her mouth and you really have to pay attention to catch it all.  As I was listening to her and trying to get Kristie's lunch ready (I know, I'm the wife in this marriage!) I heard Kenz say, "Dad, I love you so much!  I could kiss you five millions times."

That's my girl.  And that's why better than "I want to be a teacher like you Dad."

And I should also mention what she said a few weeks ago.  I asked Kenz to do something and she promptly asked why.  Kristie was quick to add, "Because Dad's the boss."

"Yep," Kenz replied.  Then she though for a second and cofessed, "Well, actually you're the boss, Mom."

How right she is! Ha ha.
