Here are some of the ones I find most moving. There's no real reason to explain why . . . once you see the pictures. They are all powerful. But I will try.
A young boy receives the flag at his father's funeral.
D-Day at Normandy beach.
Christians form a human ring around Muslims as they worship during an uprising.
My personal favorite: Japan's miracle baby. Could you imagine the sheer joy this soldier must be experiencing (not to mention the joy the parents will later feel) when he finds this little baby girl alive four days after being washed away in the tsunami.
And so is this one, 21 Pictures That Will Restore You Faith in Humanity. That, of course, is something we all need once in awhile.
The greatest sign ever. And who says voice doesn't exist in the world outside of classrooms?
A man tells protestors to not fight since it was his birthday. Soon a protestor returns with a cake for the man.
A note a waiter received with a $20 dollar tip.
In Ohio a runner stops and helps an injured competitor finish.
Two best friends.
