Teaching Tip #137

Teacherscribe’s Teaching Tip #137

This was aimed at beginning teachers, but can’t it apply to us all?

Commandment #6 – Stop and check understanding

This has never been easier to do.

I never did this well before Shane came here.  I always just plowed through content. Now, though, thanks to our work with standards and Vagle, I’ve become more aware of stopping and checking for content, even if it’s just as simple as a thumbs up or thumbs down or having student text me questions.

I’d love to hear about your unique ways to check for understanding.
