Another book that really impacted my teaching last year was
Carmine Gallo’s Talk Like TED: The 9 Public Speaking Secrets of theWorlds’ Top Minds.
Final thoughts -
This book was so damn good that I ordered a classroom set and now
read it with my College Comp 2 class.
Are my classes more engaging and TED-like?
I don’t know if their TED worthy, but they
are engaging.
And these 9 tips have certainly caused me to re-evaluate every
lesson and lecture I now plan.
I guess for the final verdict you’ll have to ask the
students if I’m effective at this or not.
