This video is funny. I saw it in a link to a blogpost via Twitter.
The mother dog is very patient in getting her puppy down the steps. She models what to do and is supportive and caring.
The cat, in a similar situation, with her kitten takes, well, a different approach.
Watch it and you'll see.
I don't think we should teach like the dog OR the cat.
I think there are moments where we have to be patient and lead by example.
But I also know there are times students benefit best from a little shove.

Is the Degree Doomed?
This article argues that it is. And it certainly seems like it.
This video makes a great point about degrees too. We shouldn't be giving students the message university for all. College or a certification for all is a better way to present it. As this video illustrates.
