Todays Reads, Views, and Links

This video is funny.  I saw it in a link to a blogpost via Twitter.

The mother dog is very patient in getting her puppy down the steps.  She models what to do and is supportive and caring.

The cat, in a similar situation, with her kitten takes, well, a different approach.

Watch it and you'll see.

I don't think we should teach like the dog OR the cat.

I think there are moments where we have to be patient and lead by example.

But I also know there are times students benefit best from a little shove.

Is the Degree Doomed?

This article argues that it is.  And it certainly seems like it.

This video makes a great point about degrees too.  We shouldn't be giving students the message university for all.  College or a certification for all is a better way to present it.  As this video illustrates.

Here is Thomas Friedman's latest.  Any time you get to read something by Friedman, go for it.
