Since we got our new 1:1 technology today (actually we not only got new MacBook Airs but also iPads), I thought I'd use popplet to trade my tech evolution. It all began way back around 1980 when I remember our elementary school's Commodore PET computer in the center of the library.
Then I recall playing Pac Man and Oregon Trail on Mr. Mueller's Apple II computer. I also typed many papers on our library's Apple II too.
Next I remember using the Apple Classic in college and even at LHS for the first few years.
Then after grad school the Apple iMac hit (we had the ones with the green and blue shells) and changed everything for Apple.
In the fall of 2002 I ordered my first MacBook along with a first generation iPod.
My MacBook lasted until 2006 when I had to update to a black MacBook, which is still with me today.
In the meantime I've had half a dozen iPods.
And now here I sit in our new commons typing this blog entry on my MacBook Air, I have my iPad charging, my iPhone right next to me and my black MacBook transferring some documents to my external hard drive.
How far we have come. What will school be like for Kenzie in 12 years?
I don't know, but I'm hoping it will be awesome.
