What a week

or the week from *&^^!

On Monday and Tuesday of last week I stayed home with Cash who had the flu.  Tuesday night Kenzie woke me to get her a drink of water.  As I walked out into the hallway I smelled a horrible stench coming from Cash's room.

Great, I thought, he has thrown up again (I tell you I had washed that bedding two times already!).

So after getting Kenzie her water, I stepped in to Cash's room and realized the stench wasn't vomit.  It was diarrhea.  Then I felt terrible for he had woken up in the middle of the night crying.  I waited awhile and he fell back asleep.  Here I had let him sleep in his own diarrhea!

And Cash was out like a light too.  Luckily, he was on one of those feet pajama outfits so everything was zipped up inside that.

So I had to lug him into the shower - all while he was sound asleep.  And get him undressed and get him under the warm water to clean him off.

He finally woke up and was not a happy camper.

By this time, Kristie was up and checking on the ruckus.

A few seconds later, she was throwing up.  Not from the diarrhea either!  The flu bug was just hitting her.

I was able to get Cash back to bed when I heard Kenzie start to cry that her tummy hurt.  The next thing I heard was her starting to vomit!  She and Kristie had come down with the flu within minutes of each other.

So I called poor Grandma Gail at four in the morning to see if she could come to the rescue.  Of course she did.

I was able to make it to school for third and fourth block.

Then that evening, I began to get sick!  The same symptoms and Kristie and Kenzie!

I was only able to really get back to feeling better after I went to bed at seven that night and all the way through until morning.  So the only full day of school I was able to make was Friday.

Then Sunday afternoon, I received a call from our daycare provider.  The flu had hit her!

So off to school I went to get sub notes ready yet again.

I don't know if I missed that much school after my car accident last spring!

Thankfully, everyone else is feeling fine now though.  Although, Gail texted us that on Saturday she suddenly was sick.  Then last night Casey did have some signs of the flu!  I guess KoKo is the only one to escape without it now.
