A Cool Assignment for Next Year

I came across these via Twitter and the excellent blog Brainpickings.

The images below are visual representations of rare or unusual words.

I'd like to have my students find an unusual word and then design a poster that reflects the meaning.  Then this could be a good way to use the QR code assignment I came across last week.

I could use an application to record the student's explanation of their poster and how it depicts their word.  Then I could use another app to upload it to the internet and assign it a unique QR code.  Then I could print them out and adhere them to their posters.

Once another QR scanning app is added to an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, anyone can scan the code and hear the student's explanation.  I'd love to have these up for fall conferences.
