I'm home with a sick little boy and his very healthy sister today. While Cash is napping, I thought I'd update the blog with some picks of the kids from the past few weeks.
Saturday was so perfect that we spent it doing yard work. Now, I will note here that other than my wife - who has an indefatigable work ethic - none of us were too keen on doing yard work on the nicest day of the year. But after Sunday was rainy, we sure were thankful that we did get out and get the yard picked up.
It's an entirely different atmosphere in our backyard now that Kenz is three and Cash is not only walking but running (and tumbling) all over the place. Laughter and giggles filled the back yard for much of the day.
We are going to have so much fun this spring and summer. I can't wait.
I'm sure the next dozen years or so will be filled with Kenzie pushing Cash all over the place. Whether he wants it or not!
Cash is a wee bit little for the swing yet, but Kenz graduated to the big kid swing and was pretty excited (until she used one hand to scratch her nose and fell off). Actually, I think Cash like it more than Kenzie; he just slid around a little bit more.
It was great to get the yard cleared and to see the grass. It's hard to believe that it was only a few weeks ago that we had this instead:
We moved some of Kenzie's 'older' toys (the ones she has tired of) into the basement. A couple of months ago Cash discovered Kenzie's diner set that we purchased for her a few Christmases ago. He loved it so much that we moved it upstairs. Here we are serving our customers: Kenz and Einer.
And here Cash is giving Einer a refill. He has to be quick before Einer bites him though!
It's been a rough couple weeks for our little man. Yesterday he was sent home from daycare with a bad case of diarrhea. Prior to that he had to miss most of the week with a tough cough. Prior to that he had to pay Dr. Connelly a visit for a check up and shots! Poor little guy. But look how cute he is all snuggled in here.
