A Memory Like an Elephant

The other day I blew up Kenzer's new, smaller scale pool (I made the mistake of buying one far to big for our backyard). This is one more Kenzer's size. Here she is filling it up for me. Of course, this was the only picture I could snap before she turned the hose on me!

However, as tends to be the case with Kenz, she tired of it after a few minutes and wanted to "wheee" instead. "Wheee" is her term for 'swing.'

On the way over to the swing, she spotted the neighbor across our yard mowing his lawn. He had his shades on and his hat on backwards.

She took one look at him and said, "uncle Brian."

She was convinced it was uncle Brian - even though he left a month ago. Something about the guy - his hat or shades - must have reminded her of her uncle.

Quite the little memory on that one.

Of course, the man's little old mother was out working in her garden. I tried to convince Kenz that was uncle Eddie, but she wasn't buying it at all!
