Time to hop on the Saints bandwagon.
Last night at Kristie's employer's Christmas party I ran into a fellow Viking hater (he happens to be a Bears fan). We talked about how much we were hoping the Cowboys would pull out a win.
We smirked and uttered a line that my family has heard all too often after the Bungals usually stumpble to a 1-8 start, "You know so and so (insert whatever team happens to be hot at the time other than the Vikings) has always been my second favorite team." Only this time we both said, "You know, the Cowboys have always been my second favorite team."
The Vikings fans at the table just shook their heads.
But, you know, the Saints have always been one of my sleeper favorites.
Remember Jim Mora, the Dome Patrol (the outstanding linebacker corp of Sam Mills, Ricky Jackson, Pat Swilling, and Vaughn Johnson - all Pro Bowlers), Bobby Herbert, Dalton Hilliard, Ironhead Heyward, Steve Walsh . . .
