This year as part of our College in the High School classroom classes, we have to give students the chance to use NCTC's D2L system to evaluate us. I think it is the same evaluation the faculty at NCTC use for their own student evaluations.
I have always used zoomerang to get end of the year feedback from my College Comp classes. I still plan to do that (my questions are a little more detailed than these were).
Some students couldn't log in - for whatever reason - and with my smaller College Comp class I totally forgot to even have them log in and complete the survey! The day we were to do it, we just got cooking on something in class and we totally spaced it out. Oops.
But those that did fill it out gave me some good feedback.
Namely, that they want me to get their work back to them sooner.
I knew this one was going to be a trouble spot for me going in.
And I do wish I could get their work back the day after it comes in. But I have a life outside of the classroom and there just isn't enough time in a school day to get 40 some college essays read and responded to.
So I can live with that. Though if anyone knows of a quicker way to get work back to students, please let me know.
