The Joy of Shopping

On Friday KoKo and Kristie ran up to GF for some shopping. Kristie wanted to get some new clothes for the Christmas party.

Kenzie and I stayed home and had plenty of fun. When she zonked out, I rented Inglorious Basterd. Quite good. Vintage Tarantino and much better than the Kill Bill series.

When they got back, Kristie couldn't wait to model her new outfit from the Buckle.

She looked so gorgeous that I knew I had to step up my wardrobe.

So come Saturday, it was my turn to head up to GF and do some shopping.

I didn't have near the luck Kristie did. But a chance to shop is a chance to shop. And I have never turned one down.

I did find a few things. One interesting thing I found at Macy's (I avoided the Buckle) was that what was once old has now come back around for there was a section in Macy's selling Guess jeans.

It was like 1992 all over again. The place might as well have been Dayton's again.

Of course, the new incarnation of Guess jeans lack - thank God - that little signature triangle on the back pocket. Though they really haven't changed much in price.

I never had a pair until my first job the summer after graduation. There was no way Mom or Dad were going to plunk down seventy dollars on a pair of jeans. I might have been spoiled (according to my sister, anyway), but I guess I was not that spoiled.

I suppose the next time I do some shopping at Macy's they'll have Gerbaud jeans out. Maybe some BUM sweatshirts or Tommy Hilfiger too!

Maybe the mullet will even come back.
