I've noticed something . . .

. . . why do a few boys in my junior English class love to lift their hands and wave them up and down frantically until one of their fingers becomes loose enough to slap off the others?  I have not seen this for some time.  But the last time I saw it was from how one redneck in college used to pack his chew. I hope that is not coming back into fashion.
