Guilda's New Ride

After driving the clunkiest of clunkers - I swear I'm going to write a book about it one day - Gail finally bought a new vehicle for herself.

Gail is the most giving person I have ever met. The stories of this are endless -- one time one of the boys brought a new girlfriend over to the house for Christmas. Guilda felt bad that the new girl didn't have a present under the tree like everyone else, so she quickly ran out and tried to find a gift, but on Christmas there was not much to chose from, so she bought a package of socks, wrapped them up and gave them to her. A few months ago she was in the drugstore and saw a young man who couldn't afford the co-pay on his prescription. She asked him what it was for and he said it was for a psychological condition he had. Gail gave him the money! She has been there countless times to help everyone of his kids (and their husbands and wives) out. Even when we eat at McDonald's she is giving. On Thursday Kristie, Kenzie, and I went there while Gail picked up her dog from the kennel. We had begun eating and Kenzie was chowing her way through a Happy Meal. But as soon as Gail sat down, she began giving us extra fries, giving Kenzie parts of her hamburger and sips from her shake!

Give, give, give. That's Gail.

Now she has finally given herself something: a new Rav 4. And it's a good think she bought it because as we were heading out the door for lunch while Corwin's were finalizing things, a couple walked in and the first words out of their mouths were, "We want to see your Rav 4s."

Too bad Guilda bought the last one!
