Kristie has spent much of the day -- once she got home from work -- baking. Sugar cookies, puppy chow, banana bread . . . It smells delightful downstairs.
For most of the day, I've been playing the tech-geek trying to get our iDVD movies finished for tonight. Since the wedding photographs didn't work out as well as we liked, we decided to give these movies as 'thank yous' to all who made the wedding. It's just been a long time in making them.
But it feels good to get them done. A lot of memories compressed into bits of data on my laptop. A lot of tears too. But it helps and it reminds me of stories, family, Christmases, and love. All good things to celebrate today.
Later this afternoon, we will head over to Barb's for dinner, gifts, and games. Then we will return home and open gifts with Gail.
Tomorrow the kids will be with their dad, so Gail, Kristie, and I will have the place to ourselves. We might take in a movie. I'm dying (no pun intended) to see Sweeney Todd.
Merry Christmas.
