Kristie called earlier and said that UND hired her! She applied for a job working in the research department of Twamley. She got a great vibe from her supervisor and one professor in charge of research, so she was really, really, really, really hoping to hear from them. Then yesterday two of the people she put down for her references called to inform her that UND had called and that they had given her absolutely glowing recommendations. One even went so far as to guarantee that she had the job!
And today they called. I'm so happy for her. She has always worked and worked so hard that she really didn't know what to do with so much down time (pretty much the entire summer). But that is over and she can get back to feeling productive and challenged - something she obviously doesn't get from me in Scrabble or any of the other myriad of games she always crushes me in.
