Day #1 at the RRVWP

Today is day #1 at the Red River Valley Writer's Project. I am woefully under prepared. I have a presentation scheduled for Wednesday, and I'm not set on what to focus on yet. But that will come. I've read most of the two things we're to have read for this summer (a book on writing, "Writing Brave and Free," which was quite bad and a report called "Writing Next," which left me swamped in technical data). So I'm hoping it picks up soon.

We camped again this weekend. The highlight was easily the fish Kristie caught yesterday. It had to be about a 20 pound Northern Pike. The Burdahl's, with whom we were camping, don't keep those, so in it went again (which was fine with us), but it's too bad we couldn't get a picture. Over the last two weekends, I've caught my share of walleyes, but leave it to Kristie to blow me out of the water with this monster fish on the second day she has fished in about 20 years!
