Success!

Well, it finally happened: a thesis support paper with some voice and life. This is the first one I've read in quite some time. Now it was from a College Comp student. How he happened upon mixing his voice into the rigid form, I don't know. But we will take a look at his essay this week in class.

My personal theory is that the student has taken a boat load of writing classes here, including two with me and several other writing classes. So the student has written under a variety of teaching styles. In my class they were inundated with personal writing. In another class they were likely hit with grammar and form. In yet another they were hit with analysis and critical thinking.

And now they have been able to bring them together in this essay.

What a pleasure it was.
