Technology is great. My new laptop allows me to "rip" DVDs. The verb means to copy to my laptops hardrive. Then I can "burn" them to any blank DVDs I have or even download them onto my ipod.
So my little two inch by four inch ipod, which weighs a few ounces, can function not only as a music player (I have 1,800 songs/audio books on there) but it can also function as a TV/DVD player (movies, football games, TV shows) and a video game (I have Pac Man and Tetris). Times have changed. In high school I was pleased when I got my first portable cassette player that allowed you to flip a switch and it changed sides of the cassette without having to actually take the cassette out manually and flip it around.
