Good one

Yesterday after their tests my American Lit students were assigned "The Lottery." Today I gave them some time to finish up before taking a reading check quiz. Then we were going to discuss it. One student was utterly confused by the story. As I was heading up to the black board, she asked, "Why didn't they just move?" Ha. And so that began our discussion of the lotter.
