Last night as I was driving to Goodridge and thinking about my presentations, I thought about what motivates me in teaching.
These two things came to mind --
1. If someone visited the school one morning and asked Mr. Zutz to show her/him the most passionate, engaging, challenging, and tech savvy teacher Mr. Zutz has, I want him to come to my room first. If not first, then I at least want him to bring the visitor there before noon!
2. If students didn't have to obey a schedule for one day. If they could just go to any teacher they want for one class. I want to be able to walk into my room and find a classroom full of kids.
Those thoughts fire me wide awake at 5 am and keep me going throughout the day.
