Just when my faith in sports is about to be restored
. . . by a wonderful act such as this one, where a senior football player stepped out of bounds at the one yard line after a breakaway run so his teammate, a freshmen, could get in to score a TD on his very first carry to help him cope with the recent death of his father. But then I see a report such as the video below, and then I have my doubts about the true usefulness of sports.

Wow, if that girl didn't receive a red card, that ref should have his head examined. As a former soccer player, I've seen stuff like this happen...I've even been kicked in the ribs once myself. Luckily, the ref had things under control. Sports shouldn't be THAT dangerous.
