Black Friday Indeed

KoKo and I had originally planned on doing a little shopping this morning on "Black" Friday. We thought about braving the crowds around four am at Best Buy to grab a great deal on a flat screen TV. But as we both thought about getting up at around 2:30 - or not even going to bed -- we thought better of it. Though, our friend, Aaron, always makes it a tradition to hit the stores for the great deals. Last year he said he was waiting outside of Kohl's. He was third in line and struck up some civil conversations while waiting. However, when a Kohl's employee opened the doors, which happened to be different from the ones the line had formed behind, all hell broke loose. He saw an old man shoved to the ground as a lady yelled, "Outta my way bitch!" and stormed for the correct doors.

I'm glad we decided to sleep in.

After reading this story, I'm glad we never went.

So much for the holiday spirit, right? I guess that is why it's been dubbed, "Black Friday."
