This was aimed at beginning teachers, but can’t it apply to us all?

Commandment #3 – Make your lesson object based

This is why we structure our lesson plans the way we do.  

I try to keep my learning objectives up on the board and in the forefront of my mind.  Then, when possible, I try to tie everything we talk about back to the learning target.

I hope this cuts down on confused looks and students thinking, why are we doing this?
