Teaching Tip #77

Teacherscribe’s Teaching Tip #77
How do we teach a class full of students – a majority of whom do not learn best through text – that have experienced much of their world through visual medium?
“Visual fluency needs to be embedded into every subject and every grade level and needs to be the responsibility of every teacher from kindergarten to post-secondary” (37)

A few tools I love are to have students generate memes, create infographs, or give impromptu speeches using visuals.

How personalized could we make learning if we generated memes for class rules and expectations, not to mention content?
