Find ways to expose your students to “grit.” I know in this time of “edutainment” (and I’m as big of a proponent of edutainment as anyone) that hard work and the boring stuff get a bad rap, but that stuff is essential too.
The more we can help our students grind through it, the better they will be prepared for work and college.
If you have any tips on how you help students lean into the dips (to use Godin’s vernacular), I am all ears.
