Teaching Tip #147

Teacherscribe’s Teaching Tip #147
Now this is something we can learn from:  How to Engage Students in the First Few Minutes
#3 - Ask a thought provoking question.
Don’t we always do this?  Or we should.  But the key is that we should mix it up.  I had a college class that always began with a heavy question like this.  And it was great and interesting and certainly got us thinking, but it did get a little old over the course of the semester.
I’m sure you all do this very, very well.  If you have any examples of thought provoking questions, send them my way.  I’d love to steal them.
