Here is a very interesting read from one of my favorite bloggers (Life of an Educator) - 10 Pieces of Advice for new Teachers.

Here are the ten pieces of advice -

4.  Treat all students as if they were your students.

I think this is one thing LHS does very well.  It’s part of our culture.

One thing I loved about coaching 8th grade football was that I was able to get to know students that I don’t see on a regular basis, and I was able to begin laying the culture necessary for when they got to Lincoln, even though they wouldn’t really be able to take my classes until their junior year.
