Running

When we took the kids down to visit Casey - and swim in the pool at his apartment complex - prior to Easter, I had a sad epiphany: even my fat clothes were tight.  I was uncomfortable all day and felt terribly.

That day I promised to change my eating habits are start exercising.  That was the last day I drank any kind of pop.  I also started using the new treadmill I bought shortly after Christmas.

Ever since that day, I've been trying to run almost every day.  I started out with one mile.  Then I was running one mile in the morning and one mile after school.  That has progressed up to now where I am doing three miles before school and three after.

Here were my first runs.

And here is from today.  It's great to have an app on my iPhone that charts my progress.

As of April 10th, I've logged over 90 miles.

I haven't seen enough weight loss yet, but I keep telling myself that if I'm running 6 miles a day at least five times a week, something good is bound to happen eventually.  Right?
