Perspective

NASA just released an image of what earth looks like from almost a billion miles away (from the rings of Saturn).

Here is the image.

Yes, that's us in the lower right portion of the image.

How's that for your ego?

So the question about perspective is this: are we a tiny point of light or are we this?

This reminds me of something I read in Sir Ken Robinson's The Element.  (Now forgive me. I'm paraphrasing here) Are we a minute species on tiny blue dot or are we the race that created Hamlet?

I like that.
