Just this morning, at approximately 7:01, Kenzie asked me, "When is Mom going to get up? She always sleeps so late!"
Then I had to inform Kenzie that 7:01 on a Saturday (of all things) is not sleeping late at all!
"Well, Cash doesn't sleep in," Kenzie said.
"True. But it would be nice if he ever did," I said.
"Well, you always get up early," Kenzie said.
"That's because you two get up so early!" I clarified. "I can't just let you guys run around the house on your own."
And that is literally what they are now doing as Kenz chases Cash from the living room into the dining room into the kitchen and back into the living room.
If I only had a fraction of their energy!
