Those Bungals

Well, I haven't blogged about my beloved, beleaguered Bengals much this year.  What's the point?

There was hope heading into this season with a core of young talent back and two very good coordinators still on staff.

But the opening game was a nightmare.  Baltimore totally blew us out.  Then the Bengals rebounded nicely scoring a ton of points over some lousy teams (Browns, Redskins, and Jags) for a nice three game win streak.

Sitting nicely at 3-1 they had two bad teams on the schedule (Dolphins and Browns).  But just when they should be peaking, the Bungals decided to play some of their worst football of the year.  Add to that a tough game vs. Pittsburgh and now the Bengals sit at 3-4.

Now they have Peyton Manning's Broncos coming in.  Oh by the way, the Bengals have NEVER beaten Peyton Manning.

I'd be surprised if they Bengals win four more games.

Here's my early call - Marvin Lewis will be out as head coach and defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer will be promoted to head coach.  Unless our offense catches fire.  Then we might have to promote Jay Gruden to head coach to keep him.
