And it's a shortened schedule!  But it's the end of first quarter which means I have a pile of correcting to do.

Luckily, all of my classes are semesters, so if there is something I assigned this week that I can't get to, well, then I count it on next quarter's grade!

I was able to finish all of our how-to themes in College Comp I.  I also knocked off their revised copies of their narrative themes in College Comp I.  Now, I just have to grade their novel tests and those grades should be set.

My Lit & Lang 9R class is pretty much set for final grading.

In College Comp II I graded their hyper-text blogs and now I have to read through their Sticky-Note Book Reports.  With a portion of the school going down for the state volleyball tournament (as well as other events - skating and swimming are going on too), I decided to move the due date from Friday to Monday.  That means it will be the first assignment on the books of second quarter.

Speaking of College Comp II, Mr. Zutz asked if I had gotten his picture he sent me yesterday.  I hadn't. I had my MMS service off because I had to send out a mass text to my classes as I was gone to an inservice meeting yesterday.

Then Mr. Zutz broke out a huge grin and showed it to me.  "The books are in," he said, referring to the classroom set of Linchpin books I had ordered.  In the picture were several of my students holding copies of the book.

"They asked, 'Can we have copies?'" so I handed them out.  He seemed pretty amused by that one.
