Amazing

Now, I'm not the biggest Google fan in the world.  In fact, I've come to refer to them as "the evil empire," especially after the blocked Zamzar from converting youtube videos.

But their debut of "Google Glass," which is a pair of classes with a built in camera that allows the audience to see whatever the person wearing the glasses is seeing, is right out of science fiction lore.

And it was debuted over the weekend.

Amazing.

Here is the debut

As I watch this, I have to wonder what will the implication be for education.  Could a teacher wear it and allow any parent logged in to see what is going on in class?  Could a teacher wear it and then talk about what she is seeing as she reads a piece of literature, and break down their metacognition as they decode the text?  I think it would be great for this project, which a professor conducted by having straps that allow his students to put their digital cameras on their heads -

The cool thing about Google ramping up it's game is that it causes everyone else (namely Amazon and Apple) to step up their games as well, which is all good for innovation.
