This flat world is crazy. Once when I was bored, another teacher and I took turns Googling each other. After a few pages of sifting through each other's names, he found a paper written by a Florida State student who has referenced an essay of mine on the five paragraph theme that I had published on the web via a graduate web design course.
Later I noticed an increase of traffic to this blog from Wisconsin. I noticed many were sent here from a Packer's fansite. With a little investigation, I found that a site called "PackerBackers" (I think that's what it was called anyway) had discovered an anti-Vikings rant (particularly gloating after their loss to the Saints at the end of the '09 season) on my blog and they linked to it.
Well, it has happened again. This time a site called "eHow Family" discovered my blog post on the braided essay and put it on their reference page.
What a small world.
