Both Sides Are Right

Joel Klein, former school chancellor of NYC, has some interesting points in this op-ed piece.  Both sides are right?  I like that type of thinking.  Let's concede that each side has some legit points: on one side, teachers work hard and deserve some level of protection and some form of compensation, but on the other side, tenure should not be a free pass for a career.  Now what can we do to compromise?
