Oral History, continued

One of our fellow teachers here just mentioned that when he used to record oral histories, he would give a copy to the interviewee's family.

Our presenter mentioned how great of an idea that was because so often family members lament that they don't have a copy of their grandfather's or grandmother's voice. They often wish that they could just hear their voice again or how thankful they are for being able to hear that voice again.

That just hit me - what I wouldn't give to hear my father's voice again. I never thought about that until now. If I could only hear him again.
