Memory Lane

Now that the work on our basement is done, it was time to move everything back into it from the garage - no small task.

As we moved things back down and began to get them situated, Kristie came across a box full of old articles and pictures and assignments that her mother had kept (yes, she was a 4.0 student all the way through school and scored in the 90th percentile on the Stanford assessment test in fifth grade).

One of the highlights was this snippet from her high school newspaper.

Sophomore in the crowd

“I am looking forward to the intellectual stimulation of high school,” states Kristie Filipi, a sophomore in the crowd.

Kristie, who is fifteen, is involved in man activities at Senior HIgh. Such as: volleyball, cross country, chorus, basketball, and track. When she is not involved in any of these activities she enjoys being with friends and “cruising with my mom, Guilda, down South Washington.”

Her first impression of Senior High is that there is not enough time to socialize. “But,” she says, “I am looking forward to a good year.”
