. . . we live in.
I was listening to a podcast yesterday, and the producer was interviewing a young girl who published a lot of her work here - kidpub.
How about that?
A large website that allows kids to publish - for free (I think) - their work!
Again, what a virtual world we live in.
I think back to when I was really beginning to write back in late elementary school and early high school. In my first creative writing class, I was all excited because Mom and Dad had just bought me an electric typewriter - which could remember entire lines of text! Or how Mr. Sorenson, my teacher, subscribed to "The Writer," which published works from high school creative writers all over MN. Whenever he would show us a new issue, I'd read it cover to cover comparing what was published to my writing (none of my submissions ever made it in).
And now kids can upload their work and get feedback from all over.
Wow.
