On Friday, I began to feel small, sharp pains in my throat. By the time I made it home, it felt like a wad of needles were jammed in my throat. Then the aches and pains set in. Saturday wasn't much better. Sunday was okay, but after a night of miserable sleep - it is difficult to sleep when you can only breathe through one nostril - I am up. I thought about calling in sick - today would have been the perfect time to do it. It's a late start, so classes are shortened and two of them happen to be finishing films. However, one of those films is in my car. So that wouldn't work.
Deepending no how well I feel today, I might call in tomorrow. The main reasons I hate this are that it's simply more work not to be at work than to be at work. Second, I never seem to get the rest I plan on when I stay home. But if my cough develops anymore, I'm making up my sub plans this afternoon.
