Lazy Sunday Afternoon

Talk about a lazy Sunday afternoon! So far I'm dividing my time among reading for my MNHS class this week, perusing the web, blogging, and reading snippets of a new book, "October Dreams: A Celebration of Halloween."

It is really quiet around here - which is rare.

Casey and KoKo are at their father's. The cats are out on the porch sleeping in the window cills. The dogs are outside. Kristie is sleeping. But that is my fault. Ever since we moved into this house, Kristie has been plagued by allergies. Today since it was cool out, we shut off the central air and opened the windows. As soon as the fresh air made its way through the house, Kristie's allergies kicked in.

She was downstairs on the couch, eyes watering and sneezing like mad, when she asked me to get her some medicine. While I was reaching for the sever allergy forumula, she mentioned that she wanted the multi-symptom formula. So I grabbed two pills out of that box and trotted over to the couch.

She took them and I went back to work upstairs. Half an hour later she called up wondering if I mistakenly had given her the night-time formula instead of the day-time formula. Oops. I forgot that we had two separate kinds. The ones I used to take had blue pills for night-time and yellow for the day. I had given her two yellow pills.

Let's just say that upon further review, the night-time pills had been switched to yellow and the day-time pills were now white. So she is sleeping in the middle of the day - usually when she is either cleaing, reading, or watching an SVU.

I'll stay away from the medicine drawer for awhile.
