I hate Scrabble. More specifically - I hate playing it with Kristie. She has this annoying little ability to be good at everything. I mean everyone has one or two things that they’re very good at. Not her. Every damned thing she tries, she somehow finds a way to be exceptional at. This is infuriating.
I blogged two weeks ago how I have yet to win a single game against her in “Sport Toss.” I blogged last week about the monster northern pike she caught on her second time in the boat.
Now she absolutely destroys me in Scrabble. She just used all seven tiles to spell “quivers.” She has done this before. I can live with that. But - never one to miss an opportunity - she also used the “s” in quivers to connect to one of my words “oak” to obliterate me - ten minutes into the game.
So I’ve decided to blog while she is building her words. I had hoped this would distract her, but I see that she has just devised the words “prize,” “rabbit,” and “swinger” (use the ‘w’ in wise) to double her score over mine - roughly 300 to 150.
361 to 191 - final score! (I wanted to get a picture of the utter destruction, but I forgot).
We played another one. This was closer - I think I only lost by 100!
