I also found some pictures of my grandmother. She and Dad always butted heads. I never understood why as a child. Dad towered over Granny. And, to be quite honest, Granny was dependent upon Dad quite a bit when she needed to get around or needed something fixed (not that she ever asked for his help though). But now as I see more and more of Granny as a young woman, I can see why she would intimidate Dad.
I wish I had the stories behind these pictures.

I am amazed that this is my grandmother. I think it was taken when she was attending Bemidji Teacher's College. I know from my uncle Jim that she did hike to the Boundary Waters in upper Minnesota and canoed there. But this is a Granny that I never knew.
