The biggest game of the year and our cable decides to go out. I don't know if it's the cold or if our dog urinated on our cable box or what - but the TV is just full of snow and carbled sound. You would be hardpressed to find two people who love watching football - highschool, college, or pro, more than Kristie and me. So it only figures that the night of the biggest game, the damned cable goes on the fritz.
So Kristie is down stairs reading Les Mis and I'm listening to the game via the internet and reading essays.
Tomorrow our department has a curriculum work day. I'm not sure what the hell this is supposed to me. I imagine it'll include our 'guru' lecturing us on what we should be doing - with her buzz words "research shows" and "well, my kids work harder than anyone elses" ringing throughout the room - while I sit back and become more and more cynical. Maybe not, but I doubt it. If you want to know the truth - I'd rather spend the day in my room with my kids.
