Thursday

Just saw on the news this morning that a massive lobster was recently eaten (I can’t remember how much it weighed), but it took 45 minutes to cook and those who ate it couldn’t finish it. They also said the lobster was estimated to be over 100 years old. What a pity it had to be eaten. Says a lot about our society. At least we’re not poaching rhinos for their horns or sharks for their fins . . . yet.

I also see that OJ Simpson is coming out with a book . . . “If I had done it.” Yet another sign of the upcoming Apocalypse.

Report cards are finally finished. Nearly every time we print them, it’s a complete disaster. I don’t know what changes from year to year (I know what doesn’t - our bumbling administration), but it’s always a debacle. This year we were told to put comments on - and granted they’re from a generic comment bank on our grade program so they aren’t personalized - but I put at least two for every student. Several comments needed to be shared with parents and students. But it’s all for naught. Kind of like a lot of things around this place.
